Personal Profile

Bubbly, enthusiastic and hardworking.  Willing to learn, be challenged and undertake any task giving 110% at all times.

Recently graduated from De Montfort University studying design crafts, with a chosen specialism in jewellery design and manufacture.

Enjoys travelling to see how other cultures, colours and designs can become incorporated into my work.

Performing at Theatres has given me the self-confidence to work in new surroundings, and under pressure as part of a team or by myself.

Experience/specialism

I completed a 10 week jewellery making course at Leicester adult education centre.  Making a ring and carrying out cup setting, mark making, metal stamping and other basic metalwork skills.

I was elected student representative for my University course for three years giving me a valuable insight into the complexities of course management.  In representing the group sometimes through difficult times and raising such issues with professionalism.

My dissertation on display, gave me valuable insight into the importance of craft display which used together with excellent sales techniques to great success in helping to establish the Penhaligons concession in Cheltenham.

I completed a 2 month internship at the RBSA  Gallery in  Birmingham.  Learning all aspects of Gallery curating, from general running, to exhibition selection, funding and marketing.  This gave me further insight into the craft industry, offering me valuable, first hand experience of how galleries work and also what is expected as a designer maker.
